Odoo
AI quote automation for Odoo
Quotes drafted from your Odoo catalog. Odoo already holds your products, your customers and their pricelists. Ettore reads them, turns an emailed request into matched line items priced for that customer, and writes the approved quote back. Odoo stays the system of record throughout.
Sample data
What Ettore reads and writes in Odoo.
Read-heavy, write-narrow. Everything it writes is a draft a person has reviewed, unless you put that request type on Autopilot.
- 01
Reads products
Your Odoo products, with the names and codes you actually use, indexed so a description or another brand’s code can be matched.
- 02
Reads customers and their price lists
The partner record and the price list Odoo assigns, including per-company price lists where you run more than one company.
- 03
Reads stock
Live availability at the moment a draft is built, and when an out-of-stock product is expected back.
- 04
Writes quotations
An approved quote lands in Odoo as a draft quotation, ready to send.
- 05
Writes sales orders
A reviewed purchase order lands as a draft sales order. Ettore never confirms an order in Odoo itself.
- 06
Files under the right company
In a multi-company setup, routing rules decide which company and partner a record belongs to.
Connecting Ettore to Odoo.
The connection is read-heavy and write-narrow: it reads what it needs and writes only the quotes and orders you approved.
- 01
Create a connection user in Odoo
A dedicated user with read access to products, customers and pricelists, and permission to create quotations. Scoping it to its own user is what makes the access auditable later.
- 02
Point Ettore at your instance
Your Odoo URL, database and the credentials for that user. Ettore connects over Odoo’s standard XML-RPC interface — no plugin to install in your instance.
- 03
Let it index the catalog
Ettore builds a searchable index of your products so it can resolve free-text requests against them. This is a read; nothing in Odoo changes.
- 04
Review drafts, then let them write back
Your team reviews the first quotes and corrects what it got wrong. When you are satisfied, approved quotes are written back into Odoo as quotations.
What the Odoo connection does.
Reads your product catalog
Ettore indexes the products as they exist in your Odoo instance, with whatever naming and codes you actually use. There is no separate catalog to maintain and nothing to keep in sync by hand.
Uses the right customer’s pricelist
Odoo knows what this customer pays. The draft carries that price, not a list price someone has to correct afterwards.
Attaches live stock
Availability comes from Odoo at the moment the draft is built, so a rep is not promising something that left the warehouse last week.
Writes approved quotes back
Once a person approves the draft, it lands in Odoo as a record. Nobody retypes it, and nothing is written on the strength of a match alone.
Odoo questions.
Which Odoo versions do you work with?
We connect over Odoo’s standard external API rather than anything version-specific, and we have it running in production today. Tell us your version and hosting — Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or self-hosted — and we will confirm against your instance rather than guess.
Do we have to install a module in Odoo?
No. The connection uses Odoo’s own external API with a user you create. There is nothing to install in your instance and nothing that changes when you upgrade it.
What does Ettore write into Odoo?
Quotations and sales orders, once a person has approved them (or on Autopilot, for the request types you chose), and nothing else. It never edits products, customers or pricelists — those stay yours to manage in Odoo, and Odoo stays the source of truth.
Our Odoo product names are inconsistent. Is that a problem?
That is the normal case and it is the actual problem being solved. Ettore matches messy free-text requests against the catalog you have. Where a line cannot be resolved it is marked No match rather than guessed at.
Can it handle our customer-specific discounts?
Yes — pricelists are part of what it reads, so per-customer pricing and discount structures come through into the draft.
See it on your own Odoo.
Bring a real request and your instance. The interesting part is always your catalog, not a demo dataset.
